^^^ Armin’s photo he snapped of the crowd at the end of the show: “Thank you Minneapolis! It’s so great to be on the road again”
What an insane show!

Had a wonderful time. Very nice job keeping the line moving too– I was dreading having to wait outside because we got there a bit late. Star Wars theme was highly entertaining– you can’t go wrong with a Wookie. :P

I brought a friend who had never been to an Armin show and now she’s hooked like the rest of us! It was an amazing show and a night I’ll never forget, Armin plays so well to the crowd and makes it amazing for all in attendance. I was wondering if anybody had an idea about a song that got played last night though. It was probably around 12:45, and I know the lyrics were being played on the screen, but for the life of me can’t remember them. The song was just a MASSIVE floor mover, any help at all is GREATLY appreciated.

All I can say is WOW! An insane night from every perspective. I was quite nervous about the show for the past few months, mainly because booking the #1 dj in the world comes with a nice size price-tag, and the last few years we have not seen the numbers we want for Armin.
This year was meant to be different…
Crazy turnout of rabid music lovers for this event! Intense energy at multiple points of the night, only serving to prove that Minneapolis continues to be one of the best places to play in the US.
Armin texted me today “Hey dude thanks again for an amazing night. My best in the twin cities!!” What more can we ask for from AVB!?!?!? As he was walking out of the club at the end of the night all he was saying was how awesome everything was about the night. And Glenn Morrison… LOL… he had no idea what to expect, and left believing that Mpls is the second best place to play in the US!!!!
I thought the show was presented amazingly (I am a bit biased of course). I loved having Armin up higher, with one laser in front and one behind. I love lasers, lights, and sound, and was quite pleased with all of them.
The crowd was amazing as well. At one point some of the SIM crew members and I were chatting about how it seemed like there were parties going on all over the club, all part of the main party. It is such an honor to be able to host an event where people can feel like they can let loose in a variety of manners.
Armin is #1 in the world because he brings it in so many ways. I felt like he really took the 2+ hours to build his set this time, and I enjoyed traveling on this journey. Being a huge fan of the chessy melodic stuff, the later parts of his set mos def had me grinning!
I also love how he signs stuff on and off throughout his set, so willing to show some love to his fans.
And then there was Star Wars… such a geek I am. All time fave movies, pretty much a dream come true watching princess leia go-go dance, the storm-troopers hanging out, the “raving bounty hunters,” and of course getting to dress up as Chewbacca!!!!
Thanks to everyone who helped support this event. The numbers were HUGE compared to the last couple of years, which simply means I feel comfortable making sure we have Armin here every year, no matter what his cost. We can not do this without you, and respect you for all that you do. Spread the love and vibe and Tiesto, Above & Beyond, and Guetta, and let’s wrap this year off right!!!!
peace

Wow, what an amazing show last night. Definitely the best Armin show I have seen here. Big thanks to JT and all of the people at Sound in Motion for really going all out for this one. I loved all of the extra lights and speakers. It sounded really good too, which after seeing Tiesto at Epic is something that I thought I would never say about that place. It was great too see all of the Star Wars costumes too and how into the show everyone was. Armin was really feeding off of everyone’s energy. Being in the middle of the dancefloor was insane. I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to see Tiesto there. Just make sure he doesn’t let his sound guy do the engineering again. Thanks for an incredible night.

Wow what a night. I love being such a geek and getting to dress up as a Star Wars character. The vibe from everyone there was awesome and it made for one of the most memorable nights i have had while with SIM.

@jacktrash:
To what Jack said above – you deserve all the credit and thanks we can give!! Thank you SIM for putting on an incredible night! The set-up was absolutely nuts,the lasers were the best I’ve seen yet, Epic is literally the perfect place to host big-name DJs (after all, more space, more people!), and I loved the Star Wars theme, too. I’m so happy to know that so many people showed up for this event, and that Armin enjoyed himself so much. :) SIM, you really outdid yourselves with this one, and thanks for being the ones to bring these amazing DJs to the Cities for us to enjoy. I hope that with this kind of publicity that the shows will only continue to bring bigger crowds and more amazing memories for all of us.
thanks a million and then some!! Can’t wait for Tiesto and Above&Beyond!!

Armin was AMAZING! The show last year was crazy good but he is not meant for shows at spin…epic was a necessity.
Dressing up as a rave bounty hunter…TOTALLY WORTH IT! Meeting armin was like a dream come true….such a nice guy…he gave me a hug :) and i told him id see him at ultra in miami haha maybe the rave bounty hunter mask will have to come out with me to miami…those faces were unforgetable.
SUCH A GREAT SHOW thx SIM!!! :) can’t wait for the rest of the year to come

I enjoyed everything about the night except the times that I had to interact with Epic’s retarded employees. These idiots couldn’t run a hot dog stand. Me and my friends were first in line with our printed out pieces of paper we got when we ordered our tickets.
So they started checking our IDs and they marked X’s on our hands. I had no idea that that meant I couldn’t drink. We were over 21 yet they still gave us these X’s. This caused me problems throughout the night. EVERY TIME I went to buy drinks they questioned me which took a long time. All because some fat retarded Epic employee puts an X on my hand. Then after that they forget to give me my yellow wristband.
So then they tell us we can all go in now and everyone hurries inside to find out that we need to go BACK OUTSIDE now because we need to turn in our pieces of paper for some ticket. It took forever for me to get to the guy with the box of tickets and then after i finally received my ticket I had to wait in line all over again to get inside.
I could not believe what would happen to me later in the night. I was up front in a good spot right by the stage and this little mexican guy comes by with a fuckin broom in his hand!!!! He’s cleaning up shit right in the middle of the show ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! He starts giving me grief and tries to bust me for underage drinking. The little piece of shit escorts me off the dance floor and brings me to the bartender. Meanwhile everyone around me is yelling at the little piece of shit telling him to leave me alone and let us enjoy the show. So ONCE AGAIN I must prove that I am of age. That guy is lucky I didn’t knock his ass down and let the wild crowd trample him into oblivion.
Epic is not worthy of having Ferry, Armin, Tiesto, or Above and Beyond. I’m so sick of this venue I wish Myth was still hosting Tiesto.

@Zac:
We are truly sorry for your experience with the staff @Epic. People make mistakes, I’m sure that is what happened with the bouncer. By 10pm we already had a huge line around the corner…that is a lot for them to deal with. With that being said, we are not making excuses for them…their mistake caused you distress. Please know that we are not taking your comment lightly. We will do what we can with the club to make sure something like this does not happen to you, or anybody else, again.
Right now we do what we have to with ticketing. JT and I def tried to speed up the line whenever we could throughout the night. We are working on our ticket system to refine it a bit.
I’m glad you enjoyed the actual show though, and I hope the good outweighed the bad.
You may be sick of Epic, but we wish to see you @Tiesto and Above & Beyond!!

FWIW, I actually prefer Epic. Granted, I’ve never been to Myth, so I’ve no basis for comparison there, and I used to party at Epic way back when it was Quest. I’ll have to check out a Myth show, but what’s really left a sour taste in my mouth is Spin. When I came out to see Benny Benassi, the venue just seemed too small for the number of people that were in attendance. Lots of pushing and shoving in the crowd, and granted that’s certainly not under the power of the promoters, but it’s probably keeping me from seeing David Guetta.

Armin was obviously superb.
But I was really excited to see that Glenn Morrison would be performing as well. While not as mainstream as the Armins or Tiestos, he has headlined his share of tours, even performing a four hour set in Ibiza.
I say kudos to SIM for booking two of my favorite DJs on the same night.
