JESSE ANDLER

With a love, appreciation, and passion for all things music, Jesse Andler was first introduced to Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in 1995 by a new room-mate who had moved in with a set of turntables and a mixer. Jesse became enthralled with the music, and soon after, the scene in Minneapolis when he was brought to his first party, an underground show thrown by the group known then as Communique.
In 1998 Jesse became involved with a group of Minneapolis promoters that went by the name of Soul Theology, when he invested in a number of their shows, the first being “Funky Charmz”. It was soon after this that Jesse decided that he would pursue a career in the music industry. In 2001 Jesse graduated from The McNally/Smith School of Music (then known as Music Tech College) with a degree in Music Business. Since then Jesse has kept busy supporting the music he loves, and working with companies like the world famous First Avenue Nightclub, Kinetic Records, Om Recordings, Sony Music, and the companies he now holds positions at, Aphrodisio Recordings and Sound In Motion.
Jesse interviewed for and was offered an internship with Aphrodisio Recordings in September of 2003. It was there that he first started working with Jack Trash, the owner and CEO of Sound In Motion. It was Jesse’s work ethic combined with his aptitude for the music business that not only earned Jesse an actual position with the Aphrodisio family, but also caught Jack Trash’s attention. In October of 2004 Jesse was asked to be a part of Sound In Motion as an Operations Manager for a brand new Sound In Motion weekly called Remedy @ Escape Ultra Lounge in Minneapolis. Later Jesse secured a night called Spectrum held @ Euphoria Nightclub in Minneapolis, which would be run by Jesse and fellow Sound In Motion crew members, Hart Thorson and Swoope. Again proving himself as a valuable member of the Sound In Motion team, and taking on more and more responsibilities within the company, Jesse was promoted to Vice President of Sound In Motion late 2005.
Jesse has worked on a variety of events and with a variety of clubs while working for Sound In Motion. Events include PLUSH, REMEDY, SPECTRUM, SESSIONS, TANTRA, as well as a number of one-offs thrown by Sound In Motion, working with DJ’s like Sasha, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Tiesto, Roni Size, and the list goes on. Some venues Jesse has worked with are The Quest, First Avenue, Escape, Tabú, Karma, Spin, Euphoria, Mell’s Beauty Bar, and Barfly all in Minneapolis, MN. Outside of Minneapolis, he has done events @ Myth in Maplewood Minnesota, The Rave in Milwaukee Wisconsin, and Crush in Des Moines Iowa.
Being the driven and motivated young professional that he is, Jesse is constantly trying to further his career in the music industry, so major labels take notice.
