HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM SIM :)
Hey SIM fans! I def feel the need to throw a great big shout-out to everyone who helped make 2009 an absolutely amazing year of music in the twin cities. I will only address the things SIM has been involved with, as that is obviously what my heart is 100% into. I think many of you really realized that when we all work together to promote the artists we love the entire scene can start to thrive more then ever! Inviting your friends to the fb event, re-tweeting things, sharing youtube vids, posting feeds, talking to your friends, encouraging them listen to internet/radio shows, etc… these are the things that turn people onto electronic music. Most of all, getting people to experience an insane live event is most often the clincher, and amazing events abounded in 2009…
-Maybe your fave was Chewbacca and Storm Troopers roaming around at AVB
-Maybe your fave was Benny Benassi and his serene smile while pounding you with crazed electro raving beats
-Maybe your fave was Johnny Fiasco droppin’ slick grooves from groovy house to acid trax
-Maybe your fave was FIlo & Peri playing their all-time “Anthem”
-Maybe your fave was a sold-out Tiesto show with the most insane LED wall ever for a Mpls electronica show
-Maybe your fave was Ferry Corsten showing everyone why he is consistently rated among the best in the world for his flair and energy
-Maybe your fave was David Guetta tossing his golden locks around while bringin’ the business to a sold-out Spin Nightclub
So many to choose from, and 2010 is looking to present even more opportunities for total awesomeness!
I thank you for everything you do to support the music. We (SIM) tried to step it up more this year with the production and presentation of our events, but the only way we can do this is with the support of our customers. We have to manage the business side along with our passion for the music, and we always want to present the best show we can. It was exciting for us to be able to up the ante with our production, and we are looking forward to trying some new things in 2010!
We are already working on a bunch of headliner events for 2010, including some of your/our faves and some first-timers to the cities. We will put 100% into each and every show we present, and we hope you join us with trying to make 2010 even better then 2009! The opportunity is there to take these artists we love and get even more people excited about them!
We will be hosting a end-of-the-year customer survey that will ask for your feedback on a number of things, so stay tuned for that next week.
I hope you have a great holiday season, and have the opportunity to catch up on whatever it is that you enjoy.
Thanks for your support!
